Spogan HQ · Isle of Lewis
Life Skills Sessions
Three hours of calm, real-world time alongside a trainer and our own stooge dogs — a gentle way for your dog to build confidence out in the world.
Life Skills sessions are not dog training sessions, and are not an alternative to training your dog.

What to expect
What a session looks like.
Only one dog is taken at a time, and this never overlaps with other customers' dogs. What actually happens during the three hours depends entirely on what your dog needs.
To benefit from these sessions, dogs need continuity — we recommend 2–4 sessions per month, subject to availability.
Available dates are released to our list of Life Skills clients monthly, on a first come, first served basis.
Out and about
A typical session may include a walk on the road, croft or shore.
New sights & faces
Your dog may come along in my van and meet my other animals and neighbours.
Rest & play
A session may include a nap and breed-specific playtime — or your dog may simply be in the vicinity of others.
Home comforts
A crate and bed are usually available, depending on what your dog needs.
Good to know

Reactivity & safety
If your dog has a history of reactivity to any animal or person, please disclose this when you get in touch, and send your dog in a basket-style muzzle.
Vaccinations
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations to attend a Life Skills session.
Availability
Our current rotation is full.
We only ever work with a small, steady group of dogs at a time, so every dog gets real one-to-one attention. If you're near HS2 on the Isle of Lewis and would like to find out more or request to join the rotation as spaces come up, get in touch below.
